The Azerbaijan-Turkey Culture and Cuisine Festival was held at ADAU

Azerbaijan-Turkey national culture and cuisine festival was held at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Azerbaijan State Agrarian University (ADAU).

At the festival, the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Turkey were played first. Then, a moment of silence was observed to honor the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, and Turkish martyrs.

At the event, the rector of ADAU, Zafar Gurbanov, spoke about the importance of the historical and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Turkey, noting that national values are an inseparable part of both nations’ existence and that these values leave a unique mark on our shared cultural heritage. Referencing Heydar Aliyev’s phrase “One nation, two states” and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s words “Azerbaijan’s sorrow is our sorrow, and its joy is our joy,” the rector emphasized the unbreakable brotherly relations between the two countries.

The Consul General of Turkey in Ganja, Recep Öztop, expressed his satisfaction with the development of historical and cultural ties between the two countries, stating that such events significantly contribute to strengthening unity among the youth.

Vahid Novruzov, the head of “Agro Food Investments” LLC, spoke about the importance of expanding cooperation and investment opportunities in the agricultural sector between Azerbaijan and Turkey. The dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Shalala Zeynalova, also noted that such festivals play a crucial role in instilling national values in young people and passing on the Azerbaijan-Turkey relations to future generations.

The festival continued with performances of national music, dances, poems, and displays of culinary samples from both nations’ cuisines.
