A discussion on the draft “Law on Agriculture,” specifically focusing on articles related to livestock farming, was held at Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU) under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilhama Gadimova. It is noteworthy that the proposed legislation aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those aimed at “no poverty” and “zero hunger.”
Participants in the meeting included ADAU Rector Zafer Gurbanov, Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture Zaur Aliyev, Head of the Department of Livestock Management and Monitoring Bayandur Rzayev, Deputy Chairman of AXA Eldar Hasanov, Director of the Scientific-Research Institute for Livestock Mahir Hajiyev, Director of the Republic Artificial Insemination Center Elton Abdurahmanov, as well as the directors of the Goranboy and Goygol Regional Agricultural Development Centers (DAIMs) and other relevant university staff.
During the discussion of the draft law, faculty members from the university’s departments specializing in livestock shared their perspectives and proposals, engaging in an in-depth exchange of ideas on the subject.
