The participants in the meeting emphasised that educating the younger generation in a healthy spirit is the main task of the state and society, and the importance of expanding education and awareness raising among the population, especially the younger generation, in our country in connection with the fight against drug addiction and its complications, which is the most urgent and painful problem of our time.
Deputy Head of the City Police Main Department, Police Colonel Akhmed Jalilov told about the problems that drugs create for society and detailed the consequences of these substances. Mentioning the negative consequences of drug addiction, which is a serious threat to the physical and spiritual health of the youth and causes serious consequences, the head of the department noted that drug addiction is being seriously combated all over the country. Ganja Police Department and its subordinate institutions carried out successful operative-search measures on revealing and bringing to responsibility the persons engaged in illegal circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors in the territory of the city.
As a result of these measures, a total of 178 facts were detected and more than 64 kg of narcotic drugs were removed from illegal circulation in 10 months of this year, of which more than 21 kg of drugs with special effects were included.
