In 2024, Azerbaijan State Agricultural University conducted a Graduate Employment Survey to assess the career outcomes of the 2023 graduating class. A total of 1057 out of 1520 graduates participated in the survey, reflecting a response rate of 69.5%.
Key Findings
- The overall employment rate among respondents was 70.6%.
- Out of 1057 graduates, 746 (70.6%) reported being employed in various sectors.
- The unemployment rate among respondents stood at 29.4% (311 graduates).
- Additionally, 254 (24.0%) graduates opted to continue their education through further studies.
- The median monthly salary for graduates was $478 USD.
- 118 (11.2%) unemployed graduates include those fulfilling military service obligations or facing health issues. Additionally, a significant challenge is that many companies require at least one year of work experience.
