Acting rector Zafar Gurbanov reported that the Agrarian University is successfully carrying out work within the framework of the plan of activities adopted on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. Speaking about the importance of cooperation between university and industry, Mr Gurbanov drew attention to the importance of joint projects with farmers and enterprises in the training process.
The Head of the field laboratory for cereals and pulses, Firuddin Gurbanov, gave a presentation on varieties and hybridization of cereal plants, their seed production, achievements and prospects. Later, the farmers and business representatives who participated in the event expressed their opinions.
At the end of the round table, between Azerbaijan State Agricultural University and AGROVIT LLC» was signed a memorandum of cooperation. The purpose of the memorandum is to organize various internships, seminars, round tables and conferences, as well as attracting young professionals, especially in the field of agronomy. The participants of the event visited the seed-breeding sites of the university.
