A group of staff from Hexi University of the People’s Republic of China has visited Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU).
The delegation included Vice-Rector Professor Gao Rong, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department Associate Professor Li Hu, Dean of the Faculty of History, Culture, and Tourism Professor Liu Hongbo, Deputy Director of the Gansu Mushroom Applied Engineering Laboratory Professor Liang Qianqian, Deputy Head of the Academic Affairs Department Professor Wang Mingbo, and staff member Xiao Cen from the International Exchange and Cooperation Department.
During the meeting, the rector of the Agricultural University, Zafar Gurbanov, provided information about the university’s international relations. He stated that ADAU is particularly interested in collaborating with Hexi University in the field of edible mushroom cultivation.
Vice-Rector Gao Rong expressed his pleasure at being at ADAU. He noted that both parties share common interests and goals in higher education, academic exchange, and scientific research.
Additionally, establishing a Chinese Cultural Center at ADAU is also among future objectives. The meeting also discussed prospects for joint cooperation, faculty and student exchanges, and the development of collaborative projects.
Subsequently, promotional videos for both universities were presented.
Finally, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Azerbaijan State Agricultural University and Hexi University of the People’s Republic of China.
After the official meeting, the guests toured the university modern laboratories, student dormitories, open and closed aquaculture laboratories, fruit orchards, and livestock complex.
