Presentation of the Book “A Textbook of the Diseases of Animals” Held in Ganja
A presentation ceremony for the book “A Textbook of the Diseases of Animals” was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Ganja, organized by Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU).
The textbook covers the fields of epidemiology, virology, microbiology, and parasitology and represents the first English-language textbook published in this discipline within the country.
In his opening remarks, Zəfər Qurbanov, Rector of ADAU, emphasized the crucial role of veterinary professionals in ensuring food security in the country. Speaking about the newly published textbook, he noted that it would provide students with valuable new information and insights into various scientific research findings in the field.
One of the book’s authors, Şəlalə Zeynalova, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at ADAU, highlighted the importance of the textbook for English-language groups, stressing that it serves as an invaluable resource for both students and professionals in the field.
Additionally, co-authors Vüsal Abbasov, Lətif Kərimli, Rüstəm Qasımov, and Aytən Ağayeva provided further details about the publication.
The significance of the textbook in contemporary veterinary education and research was also emphasized by Mahir Hacıyev, Director of the Livestock Research Institute; Mehman İsmayılov, Dean of the Faculty of Food Engineering at Azerbaijan Technological University; İsfəndiyar Alverdiyev, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology at Ganja State University; and Mahir Hüseynov, Head of the Department for Work with Participants of the Patriotic War and Families of Martyrs at the Ganja City Executive Authority, along with other distinguished faculty members.
