A scientific-practical conference titled “The Voice of a Green Future” was organized.

A scientific-practical conference titled “The Voice of a Green Future” was held, organized by Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU) in celebration of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World” and the 101st anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s birth.

The conference, held in Sheki, featured presentations by prominent figures, including Yusif Shukurli, Director of the Sheki Regional Science Center of ANAS; Sarker Namazov, Director of the Sheki Regional Agricultural Training Center of the Agricultural Services Agency; Allahverdi Seyidov, Head of ADAU’s Department of Horticulture; Ceyhuna Hajiyeva, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Ecology; Joshgun Mammadov, Director of the Genetic Resources Institute Sheki Experimental Base of the Ministry of Education and Science; and Qudrat Bakirov, Head of the Silkworm Breeding Department at the Sheki Regional Experimental Station. The speakers emphasized the importance of adopting advanced technologies in agricultural production to adapt to changing climatic conditions.

ADAU students—Aytan Huseynova, Gumru Guliyeva, Fatima Namazova, Mahir Adigozalov, Medina Aliyeva, Zenfira Sayfatova, and Hamid Safarov—presented their research to conference participants. Following the presentations, the students were awarded certificates.

As part of the “Green Education Movement” project, participants also visited the “Biogarden Agro-Ecotourism” site in Sheki and toured Sheki’s historic landmarks.
