A newly renovated classroom has been put into use at the Agricultural University

A new classroom, created with the support of “Agro Food Investments” LLC, has been opened in the Agronomy and Zootechnics teaching building of the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU).

Before the opening, a meeting was held where ADAU rector Zafar Gurbanov, the head of the Department of Science, Education, and Human Resources of the Ministry of Agriculture, Ilham Suleymanov, and the head of “Agro Food Investments” LLC, Vahid Novruzov, exchanged views on the training of sustainable agriculture specialists and the further expansion of collaboration.

Later, the opening ribbon of the new classroom, which is now available for student use, was cut. It was stated that the newly established classroom is equipped with modern necessary furniture and technical equipment. In addition to regular classes, it is also intended to hold training sessions in the classroom.

As part of the project aimed at developing qualified personnel in the field of agriculture and attracting them to the group, it is planned for specialists from the Agro Food Investments (AFI) group of companies to deliver various lectures and seminars on both technical and administrative management topics to selected 3rd and 4th-year students over a total of 8 weeks, with 8 class days per semester. At the end of the training period, successful participants will be invited to an internship program at the companies, and thereafter, support will be provided for opportunities to secure permanent employment in the general agricultural labor market.

After the opening, Parviz Yusifov, the operations manager of the Agro Food Investments group of companies, along with invited specialists from “Synergia Academy,” conducted the first seminars with the students.
