1,000 Eldar pine saplings have been planted on the premises of the academic buildings of the Agricultural University.

Events titled “Green Environment Days” were organized at the courtyard of Dormitory No. 1 and the Veterinary Faculty of Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU), as well as the premises of the Ganja State Agricultural College.

As part of these events, the designated areas were cleared of waste by participants. Moreover, 1,000 Eldar pine saplings were planted across ADAU’s six academic buildings and experimental station grounds.

The initiative aligns with the objectives of the project “The Impact of Climate Change on Children,” funded by the “International Initiatives Related to COP29” major grant competition of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations. The project’s purpose is to raise awareness and conduct educational campaigns on the importance of a green environment and sustainable economy, promote favorable and lasting practices, and enhance the engagement of community members and representatives of the public and private sectors. Through these measures, the project seeks to contribute to the mitigation of climate change impacts at both national and local levels.
